I am a writer, a reader, and most recently, a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Pahang, Malaysia. I spend my days hanging out with secondary school students, teaching, writing, and backpacking around southeast Asia. I have the best job ever.
I love traveling: I studied Creative Writing at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland (SUISS Programme) through the Kentucky branch of the English-Speaking Union (and spent some time hanging out in London), and I studied International Comparative Criminal Justice in Turkey (which involved riding motorcycles with the Turkish police). I’ve backpacked in The Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Vatican City, France, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, and Japan.
I graduated from the University of Louisville in May 2011, where I majored in English, History, and Humanities (emphasis in Religious Studies).
